The South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission sets June 1st as the registration date for non-governmental organizations or NGOs.
The government gave NGOs adequate time to prepare their requirements for the exercise, Deng Tong Kerjok, Registrar of NGOs, told reporters on Friday, Radio Bakhita reports.
Some provisions of the Act will affect the work of small organization in terms of registration requirements and areas of coverage, says Eliza Manyok, Chairperson of National NGOs Steering Committee.
The South Sudan NGOs Act 2016 provides procedures for registration of NGOs working in the country.
