South Sudan marks International Nurses and Midwives’ Day

South Sudan on Thursday joined the world in marking the International Nurses and Midwives Day under the theme: ‘Women and new born.’
 
The chairlady of South Sudan Women Association Jamila Saki commended the role women played in the past despite many challenges, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
Clara Roba Alfred, a representative of Nursing and Midwifery students, in an exclusive interview to Radio Bakhita listed some of the challenges facing them including motivation.
 
Carline Ramley who represented UNFPA said the celebration encourages nurses and midwives of South Sudan to continue to do their best.
 
The officials were speaking during the commemoration of the International Nurses and Midwives Day at Al Sabah Children Hospital in Juba.
