Nurses, midwives and other health practitioners are encouraged to consider taking care of patients a priority in their profession.
 
Clementina Achiro Lubaya, Director for Reproductive Health in Imotong State, says nurses and midwives should take care of their patients by listening to their problems, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
She encourages all health practitioners to value saving lives as top achievements in the profession.
 
She cites some few challenges that hinder adequate health service delivery to the citizens.

The minister encourages the entire public to ensure cleanliness of their surroundings.
 
She discourages traditional beliefs that do not promote hygiene.
 
The officials were talking during the commemoration of the International Nurses and Midwives Day at Torit State Hospital on Thursday.
