The former president of East Timor should chair the National Healing and Reconciliation Commission of South Sudan, suggests Community Empowerment for Progress Organization Executive Director.
Edmond Yakani says Jose’ Ramos also known as Zanana Gashmao is the right person to lead the healing process in the country, Voice of Hope reports.
His country experienced similar situation of South Sudan and he managed to overcome all community differences peacefully, the director notes.
Yakani points out that the National Healing Commission will be formed from seven members, four national and three international leaders.
International community will nominate international leaders to govern the National Healing Commission according to the peace deal, says the director.
The Commission will oversee the process of healing and reconciliation during the transitional period in the country.
