The Director-General for Education in Yei River State is calling on all schools to plant more trees in their compounds to avoid natural disasters.
Amule Felix says even residents should plant trees in their homes to act as breakers of strong storm, Radio Easter reports.
Recently, heavy rain and strong wind blew off the roof of a block of Alero Primary School where upper classes were learning.
It also destroyed some structures in the school, the County Education Centre and also broke down trees.
