The Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism on Thursday discussed violations by the parties to the Peace Agreement.

Mechanism’s Chairman Major General Mola Hailemariam says the monitors have observed that there have been calm in the past few weeks, Radio Bakhita Reports.

Mechanism’s Communications Officer Ruth Feni says they conducted partial verification for the redeployment of troops outside the town and the return of the SPLA-In-Opposition troops to Juba.

She says one of the major challenges to the verification of the required redeployment of troops outside Juba is an issue of declaration of forces from the side of the SPLA.

Ms Feni says the alleged violations report discussed will be sent to the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission before its details becomes public.

She was talking to journalists after the meeting on Thursday in Juba.
