South Sudan is at high risk of yellow fever, according to the report the national ministry of Health gave to the extraordinary council of ministers on Tuesday.

Government Spokesperson Michael Makuei Lueth says the council is concerned about the outbreak of yellow fever in Uganda, Angola, Kenya and Democratic Republic of Congo.

He cautions that necessary precautions need to be taken to protect people.

The minister warns that nobody will be allowed to enter South Sudan without yellow card.

He advises the citizens to be vaccinated before they could travel.

Any symptoms of the disease should be reported immediately, Makuei says.

Minister Makuei was speaking to journalists after the extraordinary council of ministers on Tuesday.
