Citizens in Alubi area of Heiban County in Nuba Mountains expressed their determination to plant crops despite delay.
Many of the citizens complained of insecurity, increased cattle raid and other technical constraints this year, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
They pledge to continue planting because it is their way of earning the living.
Alubi Mayor Suleiman Alamin Adam notes that people have not started clearing farms for cultivation this year as they use to do.
He urges people to begin going to farms in order to start planting.
Deputy Mayor, Hassan Ismail, complains of inadequate agricultural tools and means to carry out effective planting of crops.
