Western Lakes State Finance Minister in collaboration with the Agricultural Bank of South Sudan on Tuesday launched the sale of maize flour and beans at low prices in government store at Cumcok area of Rumbek.
Daniel Gumwell Nhom-Abuur says the government would bring more goods to the people for them to get food in the market with affordable prices, Radio Good News reports.
He appreciates the Agricultural Bank of South Sudan for supporting people of Western Lakes State.
State Peace Advisor Mayiek Maper Manyiel urges authorities to facilitate the sale of more food items to citizens.
A 50kg-bag of maize flour is being sold at the rate of 100 South Sudanese Pounds compared to 1250 in Rumbek Market and 50kgs of beans is being sold at 120 SSP.
