Civil Society Organizations brief Yei residents on peace agreement

Civil Society Organizations in Yei have briefed residents of Ombaci area on August 2015 peace agreement.
 
The public briefing held at Ombaci market drew more than 600 participants, Radio Easter reports.
 
Voice for Change, CEDED and Community Empowerment for Rural Development, CEFoRD organized the briefing.
 
Ayine James, Community Engagement Officer for Voice for Change says only few people understand about the peace deal.
 
During the briefing, Yei residents demanded for translation of the peace agreement into local languages for easy comprehension.
 
Samuel Guya, one of the citizens says more briefing should be done.
 
He says some people can listen to radio and read newspapers, but ordinary people cannot access any news except through public lectures.
