The Deputy Governor of Yei River State discloses that the Council of States has already approved five counties.
Abraham Wani Yoane says that the counties created include Kindi in Morobo, Ngepo in Kajo-Keji, Kupera in Lainya, Tore and Otogo in Yei, Radio Easter reports.
The creation of the five counties in Yei River State makes a total of nine counties for the newly created Yei River State.
The Deputy Governor says citizens should not fear the presence of the army in the counties.
He says that the presence of the army in counties is in accordance with implementation of the August 2015 peace deal.
The Deputy Governor made the remarks at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
