The Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission, JMEC rules that the issues of weapons and forces should not stop the arrival of the First Vice President designate Dr Riek Machar to Juba.
Festus Mogae says the issues in question should not delay the implementation of the peace agreement, Radio Bakhita Reports.
He says after all the government and the SPLM/A-In-Opposition are equally equipped with heavy weapons.
Mogae, the Former President of Botswana now heading JMEC promises to pursue means of resolving the disagreement over opposition weapons and military personnel transfer to Juba.
He reiterates that the commission will hold an extraordinary meeting this Thursday to identify some sticky issues in the peace implementation process.
