The National Legislative Assembly and Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO are expected to discuss the country’s agricultural master plan next week.
The sitting will look on outstanding issues between the agriculture parliamentary committee and the ministry, Edmond Yakani, CEPO’s Executive Director told journalists on Thursday, Radio Bakhita reports.
The debate will also encourage the passage of the Comprehensive Agriculture Master Plan to benefit the agricultural sector prior to be tabled in its third reading.
The Minister of Agriculture, Beda Machar Deng expressed confidence that the bill will be passed in its third and fourth readings.
The deliberations that will draw the lawmakers and all stakeholders will take place on next Tuesday in Juba.
