Women for Women agency passes out over 200 trainees in livelihood skills

Women for Women International organization have graduated 246 women and men with livelihood skills in Lasu Payam of Yei River County.
 
The graduates include 198 women and 53 men, Radio Easter reports.
 
The livelihood skills include health, agriculture, Gender Based Violence, business, leadership and women rights.
World Food Programme or WFP supports the Women for Women International to carry out the training.
 
The trained women and men say the one-year training has changed their lives from dependency to self-reliance.
 
They also say they have got skills and knowledge on savings, personal hygiene, income generation activities and inclusive decision making.
 
The beneficiaries have displayed some produce they made such as cabbage, onions, tomatoes and bread as a result of the training.
 
Agnes Comfort, the Country Director of Women for Women International says the organization will continue supporting women in village savings and loan associations.
 
Rinah Dudu, the Senior Program Associate of WFP expresses commitment to continue funding Women for Women International agency for better service delivery.
 
Yei River State Minister of Education, Mary Apayi Ayiga hails the development partners for supporting the locals with livelihood skills.
 
She expects them to do more for the people of South Sudan.
