A catholic priest has advised the army that the uniform it is wearing is a national honour and should be matched up with good deeds.
Speaking in Arabic, Fr Santino Maourino says the organized forces should mind of protecting citizens and their property instead of robbing and killing them, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Citizens in Wau are now living in fear of their own army, he decries.
Fr Maourino urges all organized forces to build good relations with the citizens.
The army should reflect positive image of the nation not shame, he says.
Fr Maourino calls for dialogue between the army and civil population as opposed to use of guns for terrorising the locals.
He was preaching on Sunday at St Mary Cathedral in Wau.
