Catholic media station, Radio Good News in Lakes State has received three motorbikes as a grant from VISTAS to help journalists gather and deliver accurate information.
During handover ceremony, journalists’ representative Suzie Anyuat Williams appreciates the donating agency, VISTAS for the support.
Anyuat says transport has been a big challenge for reporters and that the motorbikes will enable reach distant places.
Norbert Odhuor Peter Otieno, the Director of Good News Radio also joins in hailing the development partners for the assistance.
Diocesan Coordinator, Fr John Mathiang Machol tells the donors that the motorbikes will be used for the right purpose.
He appreciates Good News Radio staff for embracing teamwork for better achievement.
Meanwhile, Richard Obwayio, the Regional Coordinator of VISTAS urges Good News Radio management to take very good care of the motorbikes donated.
He challenges journalists to be more innovative in programming to change the mindset of conflicting communities.
The development partners urge journalists to commit themselves to feeding the masses with accurate information.
