Christian agency advocates for inclusive education for children with disabilities

National Christian Development Organization or NCDO has met parents of children with disabilities in Lasu Payam to form a ‘Family Support Group’ to advocate for inclusive education.
 
At least ten parents from Mitika and Lasu Primary Schools in Yei River County have the Christian agency, Radio Easter reports.
 
The Family Support Group is to educate parents on the need to promote inclusive education for children with disabilities, says an official.
 
Joyce Small says the initiative ensures that children with disabilities have access to education together with normal ones.
 
Speaking in Kakwa, Bullen Lupai, a parent from Mitika admits that many children with disabilities in the community are left out from accessing education.
 
He appeals to the Christian organization to sensitize parents extensively to value the education of children with disabilities.
 
National Christian Development Organization is offering an inclusive education program in ten schools of Yei River County.
