Hundreds of women in Wau demand end to girl-child education barriers

Women activists in Wau call on the attention of stakeholders over girl-child education and education for women to achieve gender equality in South Sudan.
 
Monica Elario is one of the activists says hundreds of girls in far remote areas are engaged in looking after livestock or made baby sitters without access to education, Radio Voice of Hope.
 
Viola Philip another activist says women should step out of bad traditional practices which suppress them from realizing their potentiality.
 
Women were commemorating the International Women’s Day which was postponed from March 8 to April 1st due to insecurity in Wau State.
