Women are invited to be pioneers in conflict resolution and advocate for peace in the Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan.
Lalila Karim Tima told women to raise their voices above and stand firm because they are part of the world.
She said women across the world and in Nuba Mountains particularly have suffered from sexual harassment including other forms of arbitrary abuses.
Lalila advised women to stand together and in solidarity against those abuses.
Women should appeal to the international community to bring peace to the region for them to exercise their agricultural creativities in a safe atmosphere, she said.
The leader assured women and men that education should take place at all circumstances.
Authorities in the Nuba Mountains held World Mother Day in Debi last Thursday under the theme: ‘Stabilizing women’.
