The vaccination against meningitis has been extended in some counties till April 5, says World Health Organization Vaccination Consultant.

Anson Edu says the campaign was delayed due to logistical challenges in the counties, Radio Bakhita reports.

He urges people to access the vaccination in health centers nationwide.

Edu says the meningitis vaccine is strictly for people between 1 to 29 years because they are vulnerable to the deadly disease.

Those over 29 years old should not take the vaccine, the consultant cautions.

The vaccination campaign started on March 15.
