The International Organization for Migration IOM delivered two training manuals to the national government to improve border and immigration management across South Sudan.

The manuals aim at improving the immigration policy and operations in line with international standards, IOM’s Communication Officer Ashley Mclaughin tells Radio Bakhita.

Mclaughin says throughout 2016, IOM is helping in training migration officers and building border posts along the areas bordering South Sudan with its neighboring countries.

The manual is the first of its kind in the country’s department of immigration.
