The Joint Monitoring & Evaluation Commission, JMEC welcomes Monday’s arrival of 39 SPLM/A-In-Opposition military officers in Juba.
The military officers are the first batch of 1,370 SPLM/A-IO protection force required to return to Juba for transitional security arrangements ahead of Dr Machar’s return.
The obstacles that have obstructed the return of 1,370 SPLM/A-IO force to Juba have been overcome, Festus Mogae, the chairperson of JMEC announced recently.
President Mogae declares that there are no remaining difficulties in the return of First Vice President-designate, Dr Riek Machar and the formation of Transitional Government of National Unity.
A series of flights by United Nations and charter aircraft will transport the remaining SPLM/A-In-Opposition troops in coming days.
