An organisation known as World Renew is training local farmers in Yei River County to improve productivity of food in the country.
Emmanuel Bara, an agriculture technician and trainer of the organization says the agency is giving farmers skills and knowledge on planting, soil management and harvesting.
He adds the organisation also provides seeds and shares cost of hoes with local farmers.
Bara says insecurity, distance, delay in rain downpour and bad roads are big challenges the agency faces.
Mathias Luo, one of the participants thanks World Renew for providing them with seeds, tools and skills on farming.
However, some farmers complain that late rainfalls and pests are harming their activities.
World Renew has been training 24 farmers’ cooperative societies in Yei.
