The Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission, JMEC urges the government to provide necessary documentation to the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism, CTSAMM.

The documentation is meant for verifying redeployment of troops from Juba as provided for in the peace deal.

Festus Mogae says he remains concerned at the obstacles created on the verification of the redeployment of government forces from Juba.

CTSAMM is mandated to determine whether SPLM/A-In-Opposition forces are present in Equatoria and Bahr el Ghazal regions, the head of JMEC reiterates.

Assist the Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism to conduct the verification as quickly as possible, President Mogae instructs the government and SPLM/A-In-Opposition.

Easter is time for reconciliation, turn your minds into forgiveness and tolerance, he reminds the South Sudanese peace partners.
