IDP camp leadership in Juba discusses conflict intervention strategies

The Internally Displaced Persons, IDP camp leadership has discussed strategies for interventions in addressing conflicts among IDPs in the future after weekend clashes.
 
The clashes left at least two persons dead and more than 100 injured.
 
The United Nations Mission in South Sudan, UNMISS works alongside already established Community Watch Group within the Protection of Civilian sites to provide early warning and refer unresolved matters to council of elders.
 
The council of elders addresses conflict issues through traditional mechanisms.
 
The Mission says it continues reinforcing its cooperation, information sharing and efforts with the IDP leadership to mitigate any further eruption of violence.
