The blessed holy oil on Chrism Mass is for the salvation of humanity worldwide, says the Catholic Bishop of Yei Diocese.
 
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe explains that the holy oil cures the sick and confirms the faith of the catechumens, Radio Easter reports.
 
The bishop says the holy oil is also used for the anointment of Christians to confirm their faith in Christ.
 
He urges believers to take baptism seriously as a show of commitment and faith in God.
 
Bishop Lodu was speaking during the celebration of holy mass at Christ the King Cathedral on Wednesday morning.
