South Sudan, Kenya sign sketch memo on border delimitation

The Government of South Sudan and Kenya have signed a draft Memorandum of Understanding on border delimitations this week.
 
Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Barnaba Marial Benjamin says the document is a roadmap to a final agreement on establishment of boundaries between the two countries, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
He appeals to the joint team to cooperate for the success of the task ahead.
 
Meanwhile, Cleland Leshore the Kenyan Ambassador to South Sudan hopes for peaceful border delimitation and demarcation between the two countries.
 
The signing of the document was witnessed by Ambassadors of Ethiopia and Democratic Republic of Congo.
 
The next meeting for the joint border team is scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya in future date yet to be determined.
