The peace agreement may collapse over disagreement on cantonment sites and delays in transportation of Dr Rieck’s troops to Juba, SPLM/A in Opposition advance team leader warns.

The issue of cantonment sites in Bahr El Ghazal and Equatoria regions is very important, General Taban Deng Gai insists, Radio Bakhita reports.

He accuses the government of blocking the arrival of senior opposition generals to Juba, a claim Radio Bakhita could not independently verify by press.

Deng appeals to the government to intervene in transporting over 1,000 forces if JMEC and Troika fail to carry the troops.

The accord entails transporting of opposition troops to Juba and in agreed cantonment areas before the formation of the transitional government of national unity.

But continued disagreements over the cantonment sites have stalled the progress of the peace deal.
