About three hundred thousand cattle are overgrazing in Yei River State escorted by well armed herders, says the State Deputy Governor.
 
Abraham Wani Yoane says the cattle occupy parts of Lainya, Kajo-Keji and Morobo County, Radio Easter reports.
 
He explains that the animals are destroying crops and yet, when the owners are asked about the act, they say ‘Where do you want the cattle to graze?’
 
President Salva Kiir last year ordered the relocation of cattle from the Equatoria region to their original places to avoid conflicts.
