Civil Service Support Officers from IGAD counties including South Sudan are receiving training on capacity enhancement in Juba.
Juma Yoane Kebi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour says the training allows participants to know the political structures and the laws of South Sudan, Radio Bakhita reports.
He cites lack of equipment for work and office space.
A lot of lessons from the first training have been documented, says Jean Luc Stallion UNDP Deputy Country Director.
The modules will help South Sudan cope up with key issues facing delivery of services to the public, he points out.
Meanwhile, Norwegian Deputy Ambassador Gunnar A. Holm says the program is currently being implementing in seven cities across South Sudan.
By the end of the project the civil service support officers will get enough skills through capacity building, Holm adds.
The project is funded by Norway through UNDP and is expected to end in 2018.
