Consult widely with the relevant communities to ensure that any worries are addressed, says the Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission, JMEC.
Festus Mogae says he recently received a letter from Bari, Lokoya and Lulubo communities expressing concerns about lack of consultation over locations for military accommodation in their ancestral land.
Those communities are concerned that their land will be taken in the move of government forces from Juba City, Mogae explains.
The Chairperson of JMEC intends to offer a compromise proposal on security arrangements for Juba to ensure the return of the First Vice President, Riek Machar and consequent formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity.
President Mogae says recent violence in Malakal shows fragility anywhere in the country can mean fragility everywhere.
He hopes his next four months in office will bring more rapid progress to end the suffering of South Sudanese.
