United Nations Refugees Agency or UNHCR in Yida registered more than six hundred new arrivals from Sudan’s South Kordofan State.
The Sudanese reported hunger as the main reason for fleeing to South Sudan.
UNHCR registered another 60 in Ajuong Thok.
More than 80 percent are women and ten percent are children.
UNHCR also registered over one thousand Sudanese new arrivals in Unity State since the beginning of the year.
Over four hundred refugees were relocated from Yida to Ajuong Thok in the first two weeks of February.
