Three days strike by Kenya Commercial Bank or KCB national staff forces traders in Torit Town to close down their business as customers lack the purchasing power.

A trader dealing in stationery, money transfer and metal scrap says life has become difficult with the closure of bank services, Radio Emmanuel reports.

He calls on KCB Management and the employees to resolve the matter for services to resume.

The businessman also calls on customers of the Bank to be patient.

The KCB national staff strike also forces other money transfer agents like Elephant Money Transfer Service to use personal accounts at Equity Bank for transferring cash from Juba to Torit.

The strike of KCB national staff has also affected the transport sector as few passengers can afford to pay fare from Juba to Torit and vice versa.
