More than 20 members of civil society organizations, political parties and chiefs met in Wau to discuss ways of regaining trust among the societies.

Stephen Robo, CEPO Coordinator in Wau, says the dialogue was a result of a gap between civil society organizations and political parties, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

He explains that the reason behind the absence of confident between the societies is lack of freedom of expression and space for dialogue to discuss social problems.

The outcome of the dialogue would help the current government to implement its promise of rebuilding social coexistence and give chance for continuous talks in the future, Robo adds.

The dialogue was organized by CEPO in partnership with International Democracy Organization on Friday under the theme ‘Regain trust among the community’.
