The manager of Yei Electric Cooperative, YECO, blames some electric short circuits on over loading by clients who do extension of connections.

Poor electric wiring by customers causes some fire outbreaks, says Malish Lawrence.

He adds that burning of grass thatched houses occur as a result of cooking with electric appliance, Radio Easter reports.

Malish advises customers to avoid personal power extension, but contact experts to do it.

Earlier on, shops and goods of traders in hawker market were burnt down by fire from electric short circuit.
