High Court adjourns hearing of case against 28 states

The Supreme Court has also adjourned the hearing on the case against 28 states to February 18.
 
Advocate Agok Makur, a lawyer for the political parties says the case was postponed due to absence of the defendants in the court, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
The political parties last month asked court to bar the chief justice from hearing the case after he reportedly published a congratulatory message to President in support of the 28 states.
 
The Political Parties Alliance last year dragged the government to the Constitutional Court over the creation of 28 states.
