Radio Bakhita, 91 FM is today celebrating ten years of broadcasting services in the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba.
“I am exited to be the first director celebrating the decade of the Radio Bakhita”, says Josephine Achiro Fartello.
She says the celebration also is an evaluation to see achievements and failures in the last ten years.
Director Achiro thanks God for keeping the Radio working for a decade and for guiding its staff.
She calls on the people of South Sudan to support the media.
Citizens should not use the media as a tool for dividing people in the country, advises the Director.
‘South Sudan needs peace, Bakhita is trying its best to ensure that people live in harmony’, says Damian Doggale of the Production Department.
He calls on his fellow journalists to have courage and work for the unity of the people in South Sudan.
“I am optimistic that Radio Bakhita will achieve a lot in the coming years”, says Gale Julius of News Department.
He urges his colleagues in South Sudan to stick to media ethics to avoid problems and win the confidence of the people.
