Gelweng youth pledged to top road ambush, cattle rustling, killing of soldiers and revenge, Governor of Western Lakes State tells the media.
 
Abraham Makoi Bol says he met cattle keepers in camps and discussed with them peaceful coexistence in Rumbek, Radio Good News reports.
 
Gelweng youth acknowledged the request and have taken peace as important thing for people to cultivate and develop their place, says Governor Makoi.
 
Hostilities between the communities of Rumbek North and Central stopped, says MP of Rumbek North County Marik Nanga Marik.
 
He adds that the two communities vowed to end problems among themselves.
 
The conflict between Pakam and Rup began in 2014 as result cattle theft.
