The National Legislative Assembly on Tuesday passed the Non-governmental Organizations Bill, 2015.
Parliament also incorporated into the Bill, observations made by President Salva Kiir last year, Radio Bakhita reports.
The observations include separating the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission from the NGO Bill.
The lawmakers approved the Bill after a heated debate chaired by Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Mark Nyipuoch Obang.
The Parliament also passed the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Bill which seeks to establish an independent institution to monitor the work of NGOs.
The two Bills shall be sent to President Kiir to be signed into law.
