Bishops in their meeting last month in Rome, Italy encouraged putting committed spiritual teachers to the seminary, says Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference Vice President.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe warns that assigning uncommitted priests to the seminary would be a waste of resources, Radio Easter reports.

He adds that the Conference also stresses the need to provide refresher trainings to the local priests and sisters for better service.

The Vice President encourages priests and sisters to continue serving God’s people and the church in South Sudan and Sudan despite challenges.
