Over 500 undergraduate students at the faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences of the Catholic University of South Sudan gave the administration three days ultimatum or they take the law into their hands.

Angelo Angong of the Students Union says the learners are concern about the increase in the tuition fees, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

He added that they want the administration to issue transcripts to students who graduated.

Angong says the Union has been controlling the situation, but as of Monday they will not have power any more over the students’ strike.

The students do not have any bad intention over the strike, but need clarification on the contentious issues, says Kuot Cirilo.

A second year female student Sarah Bashir Dor says she is disappointed due to lack of lecturers and alteration of timetable and subjects.

University students were paying a total of 4,000 South Sudanese Pounds, but 1,000 SSP has been added.

Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of South Sudan Fr Mathew Pagan could not pick our telephone for comment.
