The national Ministry of Agriculture started distributing the tractors to the newly created 28 states.
President Salva Kiir ordered the ministry to distribute to all states including Abyei Administrative Area, revealed Director-General of Agricultural Production and Extension services Loro George Leju.
Sama FM quoted Leju as saying each state gets 20 tractors, but few governors have collected theirs.
The tractors will not be given out to individuals but people can borrow from the state headquarters, said the Director-General.
He pointed out that the ministry is not responsible for the distribution of seeds and maintenance of the tractors.
