South Sudan and Sudan agreed to form a technical committee to review the agreement for oil transportation, says Foreign Affairs Spokesperson.
Ambassador Mawein Makol Arik tells Radio Bakhita in a telephone interview that the transit agreement has to be renegotiated for South Sudan to be able to continue production to benefit both countries.
He says the technical committees will devise modalities to review the oil agreement, but did not reveal the date for the formation of the committee.
South Sudan currently pays Khartoum about 25 US Dollars for every barrel which passes through Sudan.
