Equity Bank has set up two branches to serve customers in urgent need of money amidst staff strike, says Relationship Manager.
Equity’s supreme and Juba town branches are attending to customers, Louis Gonda tells Radio Bakhita in a phone interview.
He said the Central Bank, Ministries of Finance and Public Service are working to fix the strike by the national staff as soon as possible.
Over 200 South Sudanese working for Equity Bank are demanding that their salaries be converted from Pounds to US Dollars using the exchange rate before devaluation.
The nationals say the Bank should multiply their current SSP salary by six.
