Women activists in Lainya County of Yei River State are calling for respect of human rights and their inclusivity in participatory governance.
Some of them spoke to Radio Easter in a telephone interview that they are undergoing a lot of violence.
They call for democracy and good governance at the closer of the training earlier on Thursday.
Meanwhile the Program Officer of Centre for Democracy and Development, Dara Felix, says women participation in decision-making processes is important to achieve development.
The women call followed a three-day grass root training conducted by Centre for Democracy and Development funded by Democracy International Organization.
At least 45 women representatives from Payams of Lainya attended the awareness training.
Similar trainings packages will be extended to Kajo-Keji County in the near future.
