The recent conflict between cattle keepers and host communities displaced more than fifteen thousand people in Lobonok Payam, says St Matthew’s Parish Priest.

Fr Charles Sebit tells Radio Bakhita that communities of three Bomas are now taking refuge in Yapa and Mordup.

So far authorities in Juba have not sent their delegations to talk to the conflicting communities, says Fr Sebit.

He says only members of the organized forces are present in Yaba Boma to protect the displaced persons.

Chief Matayo Kenyi of Pager says security forces deployed to the area are not seen in his Boma.

He requests the government to intervene and rescue the situation.

Martin Lino Loro, Chief of Yaba Boma says the people are in desperate need of food and water.

Five people were reported dead after fighting broke in the area between cattle herders and host communities this week.
