Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC plenary is set to start on Tuesday with a retreat in Rome, Italy, says Secretary-General.

Fr Jacob Odwa Paul tells CRN that the retreat takes one week and after the Bishops will discuss the structure and the function of the Conference.

The Bishops will share the situations of God’s people in South Sudan and Sudan, says Fr Odwa.

He adds that the Catholic leaders will also meet officials of the Evangelization of the Peoples.

Fr Odwa appeals to Christians of the two countries to pray for the religious leaders to be strong in their mission.

The Bishops of South Sudan gathered in Juba before taking off for Rome through Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
