Court hearing against 28 states to exclude Chief Justice, Political parties, petition

An application has been submitted to the constitutional court seeking to block Chief Justice from presiding case against the 28 states.
 
It was submitted today- Friday by Lawyers representing Political Parties’ National Alliance, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
The Supreme Court Chief Justice, Reec Chan madut, was involved in the formation of the 28 States, Advocate Agok Makur claims.
 
He adds that the chief Justice made congratulatory message to President Salva Kiir Mayardit after the creation of the states.
 
Deputy Chief Justice, Roben Madol, adjourned the hearing to January 22nd.
 
He says the 14 days will give time to the ministry of Justice to prepare their arguments on the issue.
 
The National Alliance last year petitioned the government over President Kiir’s 28 States.
