CEPO calls for access to detained Journalist

State Authorities should ensure that the family of the detained journalist Joseph Afande has access to him, Community Empowerment for Progress Organization, CEPO urges.
 
CEPO Executive Director Edmund Yakani argues that journalists are not enemies of the nation, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
If journalist Afande commits any mistake, let the law take its costs but not to forcefully disappear him from his family, Mr Yakani stresses.
 
Yakani announces that a defence lawyer has been commissioned to write a formal latter to the minister of interior, Justice and South Sudan Human Rights Commission about the journalist’s issue.
 
The Newspaper’s owner Alieson De Jadden says they were not allowed access to the journalist.
 
Joseph Afande’s relatives reports that he was arrested on 31 December in Hi thoura.
