The Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Sunday announced establishment of a Youth Coordination office to oversee affairs of young people across the 14 parishes.
Jonah Marier is the new Youth Coordinator. He told Good News Radio that the office works for better relationship and coexistence between the pastoral agents and the laity in proclaiming the gospel of Christ.
Marier says the youth will cooperate with missionaries, religious and local priests.
The Coordinator dismissed allegations that Rumbek Diocese youths do not want foreigners.
The youth urge Vatican authorities to urgently appoint a bishop for the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek.
